This month Bartend L.A. sat down to talk with Steve Hernandez of the Covina Chatterbox.
From the outside the Chatterbox appears to be your average hole in the wall bar, possibly filled with a few locals and the sterotypical 50 year old bartender, but the Chatterbox is far from you average bar.
It’s new ownership has done away with the “meth bikers” according to Steve and has attracted a young local crowd and features dancing on the weekends as well as occasional comedy shows.
The Chatterbox has become so popular that Steve has been able to quit his food serving Job and now works only 2 days a week at the Chatterbox making more money than his previous years as a TGIF waiter.
So the next time your in Covina on a Thursday or Friday night be sure to stop by the Chatterbox and say hi to Steve…he promises there won’t be any meth bikers!
